Executive Committee Reports

President

State of the AC, support our brothers regardless of situation until proven otherwise.

 

60th, need to get committee ready to get this going. Any volunteers? See new business.

 

Good job active chapter getting members in, keep it going.

 

Two Scholarships to be handed out. Names announced later, maybe get photo op with BSU president handing big check.

 

New Instagram account set up, check it out.

 

Vice President, 60th, working Greek games for the land on Saturday the 19th of July.  Any help or ideas appreciated.

 

Treasurer

Paid at meeting in cash: Gieski, Moose, scholl-lonsky, fremstad.  Porter paid via paypal and our new venmo account, Simon and Rasmussen paid that way.

 

Porter announced that he made an error in paypal account and accidentally charged a personal expense to the OTE account, it was paid back.

 

Our new venmo account is @THETA TAU EPSILON, pay your dues that way now, no excuses.

 

Cash amount about $10K. Gave break down of payments and disbursements.

 

Got our first check from the SFIA for our land from state. NICE.

 

We still owe Sanford Center $500 for 60th reunion rooms.

 

Thanks to Seeger, Schaumburg, Auld, and Fuller for donations during 2024 for operating costs.

 

Will make motion in new business to consolidate some bank accounts.

 

Secretary, recovering from surgery, get better quick. Porter took minutes during this meeting.

 

Old Business

Memorial grove ideas: marlin asked about trees, dave bahr, pinske provided input from his nursery background. Idea for brick wall or mortaring a patio for our fallen brothers.  Idea for Torchs to each of those who have passed. Idea to Hang bells for each passed member with chains. Working with Schmitz for the plates to get us caught up on membership board. (still old business, keep ideas coming)

Motion Bergeron, seconded by illies for $500 to bring us current with name plates focus first, rest goes to other grove projects. Unanimous. Jason Schmitz, get to work!!!!!

 

 

New Business

Smash, best ever.  Total of 23 present for Grove ceremony, see facebook page for photos.

60th dates are 17-20 July 2025, with 18-19 July at the Sanford center.

 

Motion to create a 60th evite website for registration and payment for events.  $250, Pinske moved, porter 2nd, motion passed.  Schaumberg will set up.

 

We still need someone to volunteer for the poker tournament.

 

Rasmussen and porter volunteered for golf and mini-golf.

 

Dana volunteered to help with check in.

 

Need help with SWAG bag contents for all attending 60th. Shirts, mugs, etc

 

 

 

Motion by Porter, 2nd by deeds to consolidate the bank accounts. Motion passed.

 

Motion by Bahr, 2nd by Porter to approve up to $500 for a load of fill for the land hole area.  Motion passed.

 

 

porter moved to allocate $200 for fall 2025 pledge class for recruitment, expenses seconded by Simon.  Motion passed.                      

 

 

Advisor, SAVE THE DATE #1: Oct 5th is BSU homecoming, put it on the calendar. Talk about your experience to all at meet and greet. Tailgate and get together planned by advisor.  Social event between delta and us.

 

SAVE THE DATE #2: Campus move in August. Come and help folks move into the dorms.  Campus commitment.

 

Announcements. President will be Holding AA monthly meetings at least until the 60th. Focus on 60th, committees need a leader and get things moving in the right direction.
